Solo for Me (Spring Band Concert)

I have been doing band for about 5 years and this year I got my first solo. I play the clarinet and am first chair clarinet in Symphonic Band. Let me tell you it is very nerve racking to play all alone on a big stage with people looking at you, and big, hot lights shining. Emma had played earlier in the concert, but we didn't have the camera when she was playing. She plays the oboe- it is a very interesting instrument.
P.S. The video is only the second part of my solo because the camera's memory card was full when I started it and some stuff had to be quickly deleted, then the camera lady (Lily) got the rest of the solo. Enjoy!

Spring Break 2010!

The Atlanta Aquarium is an awsome place to go and I highly recommend it if your in town. We went for spring break and it was lots of fun. We got there soon after it opened and were able to get the aquarium relativly to ourselves (at least for about 45 minutes.) Then it gets crowded- word to the wise, go early! It's amazing to see the huge tank and overwhelming when you first step into the tunnel. Fish are COOL!

Turkey Time! (Not Thanksgiving Though)

Well deer season is out, but turkey season is in! It keeps Luke and Dad occupied and they have been rather lucky this year. Luke got his turkey within the first three days of the season coming in (that means it's legal for them to hunt) and Dad got his a couple days later. It made them pretty happy. Turkey keeps popping up in meals too, don't know why that would be... :)

Birthday Girl!!

It is absolutly crazy but Clari is now EIGHT!!! I still remeber her as a cute, chubby, smiley little baby, she's grown up quite a bit from then. Her birthday was really eventful and hectic. She got baptized on Sunday but before that we had a bit of drama with Grandma Barnes. Her and Papa Barnes came down on Friday and the next morning Grandma got admitted into the ER. Clarissa was devastated because Grandma was going to do her famous Holy Ghost talk (with a box) and Clari was afraid she wouldn't be able to do it. Grandma shouldn't have been able to do it, except she insisted that she got released from the hospital Sunday morninf and came and gave the talk. It made Clari's day and ended the weekend on a happy note.
P.S. Papa made her an awsome Auburn barbie cake to celebrate that not only looked good bt tasted delicious as well!

Two Little Girls...

Clarissa and Mollie: Don't they just look adorable? Let me warn you-looks can be decieving. Especially when they haven't had any sleep! We had some friends over for dinner last night and they stayed til about nine (past Clari and Mollie's bedtime). And they were rather rotten today. Not so much Clari as Mollie-who screamed that she was hungry at me for twenty minutes this morning. It was kind or scary. At least now we know who can stay up and who can not...

Look-BOYS!

These just happen to be the only boys in my family(excluding the dog). They have lots of fun together doing very manly things. They both got turkeys this week and were very excited about that. Hunting is a prominent topic of there discussion, go figure. At least they have each other.

More Family...

I have this small dilemma with my pictures. I seem to have tons of really cute pictures of the little kids and not so many of the older ones... It's not fair really, but that's life i guess. This picture includes Emma(really blonde), Luke(blonde boy), Eli(not a Gregson, but a cousin) and Lily (brown girl). They went fishing(Yuck!) but i think that they had fun...

GRACE!!!

Okay, so I'm the actual blogger, not my mom and it's kind of time consuming. Spring break is almost over which is a bummer. But at least it was fun, and i got to spend tons of time with my rather perfect and always fun family. I like lots of things, including warm weather and i do not understand why it is so cold today. That's about it for the day...

Lori and Craig

This is Mom and Dad, i mean Craig and Lori, in front of Monticello. We went there when we visted our cousins last Christmas in Richmond, Virginia. It was lots of fun, and Monticello is very pretty!

The Family:

This was acually taken about a year ago but sadly this is the only picture I have of the whole family on my computer...

We Finally Got One!

I know it has taken quite a long time- and a lot of harping from friends, but we now have a blog. Aren't you excited?
